Alabama's Offense: More than a HeismanVideo preview from the Asscoiated Press exploring Alabama's "Multi-Faceted" Offense prior to the BCS. Long and Short: More than Ingram....but not that much.
The Rose Bowl is January 7th, 2010, In Pasadena. #1 Alabama v #2 Texas ![]() Bobby Bowden: Original Gangsta
Bobby Bowden will retire after the FSU Seminoles Bowl Game. After a 6-6 season, this game will not be a minor Bowl Game. I would not be surprised if the ratings and Prime Time prestige that this game will command does not rival the BCS games. Bobby Bowden was a coach at Samford for a brief period before Taking the reins at FSU in the 70's. Oddly, Florida St scheduled a game against Samford for NEXT season. The ties to Samford are full circle. Not only did Bowden begin his career there....But so did FSU Coach elect, Jimbo Fisher. Who not only coached at Samford, but played there as well. Chris St. John, who coached under Bobby Bowden as a defensive assistant from 1999 to just before this season will be joining OaklandSportsNews.com to provide a a series of live chats, giving us his personal and professional insights into one of the greatest champions in sports history. For a complete synopsis on the ups and downs of a multi generational survivor. Check out this article from the AP, on the Bay Area's Mercury Times.
Stay tuned for College Football on Oakland Sports News: St. John also coached the Oakland Raiders Justin Fargas, while he was in High School at Southern California's Notre Dame Sherman Oaks. He talks in a funny southern way. You should enjoy the parts you can understand.
